California Stop 8: Seaport Village

Standard

Stop 8: last but not least… Seaport Village!

This shopping area in San Diego was the family’s last stop on our trip. Unlike Old Town, Seaport Village is a typical modern shopping area with a lot of boutiques and stores (like Cape Cod for followers from the East coast).

For a shopper like me, I enjoyed this place a lot as there was plenty of brands that I was not familiar with that had extremely cute accessories and clothes. In addition to this, there was also name brands like Roxy that made this day a very successful shopping experience. Also, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from! Here are some of my findings that I absolutely loved ūüôā¬†

Unfortunately, I obviously couldn’t stay in Cali forever, so the next morning the family and I headed back home. It was an amazing experience and if you ever get a chance to visit California, make sure to stop by these places! I hope everyone’s summer was a summer to remember!

California Stop 7: Old Town

Stop 7: Old Town

-

This Mexican influenced area is a must see in San Diego! It reminds me of Mexico in Epcot (my FAVORITE Disney park just in case you were wondering :p). This “town” has many little boutiques to shop in and plenty of restaurants! Along with the restaurants, there was live music where people were dancing and enjoying themselves.¬†

My favorite little spot was Cousin’s Candy Shop. So many treats to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Also, there was a shop filled with wind-chimes and cute little signs that are adorable to fill the house with… I wanted them all!

California Stop 6: San Diego!!!!

Stop 6: San Diego and La Jolla Cove

-

As the family and I moved away from the Los Angeles area, we headed to San Diego!

On our way to San Diego, we stopped by La Jolla Cove. I definitely recommend going! It is a very small beach that used to be covered with seals.

Now there are only a few seals to see left, but there are rocks to explore on which I found extremely enjoyable.

We stayed at the Bahia Resort. Absolutely stunning! Our room had an amazing view on the beach and there is a pool area to stay refreshed! For people who enjoy long walks on the beach, this resort is the place to go. Every morning, the whole family would go for calm walks on the coast.

California Stop 3: Malibu

Stop 3: Malibu and Solstice Canyon

For stop 3 on my California Adventure, the parents and I stopped by Malibu! To kick things off, we went for a hike in Solstice Canyon. The area was a bit sunny and there was not really any shade, but was definitely worth suffering the heat.

After the hike, we went down to enjoy the wonderful beach! I personally love how the beach is not very crowded, allowing a lot of personal space and privacy.

California Stop 2: Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure

Stop 2: the famous Disneyland

The second day was probably one of my favorites. Yeah, Disneyland is no Disney World, but it is still Disney and that makes it the happiest place on earth.

The whole family did both parks in one day. Yes that was as hard as it sounds, but by timing the fast passes correctly, the impossible became possible!

My top five must do’s at Disneyland/ Disney’s California Adventure:

1. Toontown (especially since this no longer exists at Disney World!!)

2. Space Mountain

3. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

4. Car’s Land (Lemme just say… worth the sight (especially at night)!

5. Toy Story Mania

Those are my favorite attractions at Disneyland! What are yours?

Also, take a look at my outfit!

California Stop 1: Santa Monica

Standard

I’m back! I haven’t posted in ages due to work. Lemme just say… camp counselors don’t have the most fashionable attire :p But school is about to begin and I’m ready to start posting again! I just came back from California and I am going to share the most memorable stops along the way.

Stop 1: Santa Monica.

This area is known for its crowded beach, its pier filled with rides, and its never ending mall. My family and I went to the pier to check it out and found it very busy, but extremely enjoyable.

You cannot be anymore in the Christmas spirit then with PJ’s detailed with little Christmas trees and reindeer (if you look closely there are even tiny penguins!). Also, even though the blue isn’t the “Christmas¬†color”, the plaid surely gives that cozy, Christmas feel.¬†
