Mama’s Homemade Pumpkin Pecan Bread Recipe!

Alright so I think we’ve established that Fall is the best season by far because of its natural beauty (and outfits of course). But what makes it even better? THE FOOD. Here’s the recipe to my mom’s pecan pumpkin bread that’ll make your stomach constantly crave more.

Pumpkin Pecan Bread

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes

Ingredients (I recommend halving this recipe)

3 cups sugar

4 large eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

1 (16-ounce) can pumpkin pureé

3 1/2 cups self-rising flour (if you do not have this, replace with 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 4 teaspoons of baking powder)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (walnuts work too!)

Preparation

1.Combine sugar, eggs, and oil in a large bowl; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended.

2.Stir in pumpkin pureé.

3.Combine flour and spices; gradually add to pumpkin mixture, beating until blended.

4.Stir in pecans.

5.Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 10 to 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean

6.Let it sit and cool off for about 10 minutes then… ENJOY! 🙂
