What To Do: San Diego

To celebrate the first sunny weekend in what felt like forever, Ryan and I decided to take a last minute weekend trip to San Diego. Didn’t really have much of a plan, but with the help of Google & TikTok, we found some really cool places that I want to share!

: What To Do: San Diego

GARAGE Kitchen + Bar

Went there for brunch specifically for their cereal shots – they were so cute and definitely got the job done. 😂 My ranking would be Cocoa Puffs as my fav, then Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Froot Loops, and then the Pancake Breakfast shot in last place. As for food, I got their S’mores French Toast (with extra marshmallow ofc) and it was actually SO good. Side note, they also have dinner.

Spill the Beans Coffee and Bagels in Seaport Village

Has a really good chai latte and they carry such a variety of bagel/cream cheese flavors. We ended up going back and bought some to take home. I got their Sundried Tomato & Cheese bagels with Caramelized Shallot & Chive Cream Cheese, and Ryan got their French Toast bagel with White truffle & Parmesan Cheese Cream cheese. Also, the view is so relaxing and it’s a great place to people watch. ☺️

Tequila Bar & Grille at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

Ate here for lunch on our pool day – has a very casual vibe with pretty fire pits. Food and drinks were genuinely delicious and the portions are filling! Took a huge nap right after😂 Highly recommend their Smoked Portobello Mushroom Tacos & the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail.

Grange Garden

Located in Solana Beach, this beautiful coffee shop was about 30 minutes from the hotel (but, deff worth it)! It costs $5 to hangout with the bunnies in the pen & you get a bowl of greens to feed them. Bunnies were my first favorite animal I had when I was a kid, so this place was a must-visit. Plus, their lavender lemonade was so refreshing – deff will go back!

Surrey/Bike Rentals at Wheel Fun Rentals

Pretty self-explanatory, but was the highlight of the trip for me. So fun!!

Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar

A seafood restaurant with gorgeous views of the bay. We started with the Crab & Shrimp Fondue, which was what tasted like a cream cheese crab and shrimp dip with garlic bread. For the main course, I tried swordfish for the first time and I’m so glad I did – it was absolutely delicious. Made for the perfect date night!

Room 56

An intimate speakeasy styled cocktail bar, where you enter through a bookshelf and try different delicious and unique drinks! Ryan randomly found this place online and we enjoyed it so much, we went back the second night. Our waitress was so cool and she gave great recommendations on what drinks to try – such a fun experience!

Vin De Syrah

Didn’t get pics from the actual place, but this is a cocktail/wine bar that has live music/DJs. Had a clubby vibe when I went, but, they also offer other fun activities like wine tasting and paint & sip (which I’ll totally have to try next time)!

These are just the activities we enjoyed while we were there, but there are so many more places I want to see in San Diego next time!
