Sometimes the best weekends are the ones that aren’t planned! It’s important to escape reality and see what other places have to offer. So, recently, I took a small getaway to New York. I had the opportunity to explore the NYU area and cannot wait to go back and do some more sightseeing!
This weekend included some walks in the parks, rooftops, and lots of clubbing. Unfortunately, there isn’t much proof of the nights out… we were too busy dancing
The foliage was absolutely stunning and I was lucky enough to enjoy it in bearable weather. With that being said, Washington Square Park was lovely and lively! There was an abundance of college students going about their day, a street performer, and many… I mean many pictures being taken.
On a side note, the weirdest thing happened while I was walking through the park. I was just sipping my hot chai, when a man started to approach me. Naturally, I started to walk faster away from him as I don’t typically talk to random guys on the street. But, the more this man began to speak, the more familiar he looked. I then came to the realization that I recently met him in a Starbucks in Boston. Yup, you heard it right. I stumbled upon this same person in the middle of New York. What a small f***ing world.
I was lucky enough to have my friend take me to this adorable little rooftop that overlooked the area! SO peaceful. My next goal is to get on one so high up it overlooks the entire city. 🙂
I also ate the best late night pizza and enjoyed wonderful restaurants/ coffee shops during the day! As for my outfit, I decided to go with a classic fall look. I feel that it embodied the season and allowed for an intense day filled with walking.
