“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” —Winnie-the-Pooh
Happy end of the semester everyone! Now that the stresses of finals have finally come to an end, we can all enjoy the holiday season. To wind down, my friend Alexis and I went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.
This was actually my first time at the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum and Alexis gave me the full tour. All I have to say is, phenomenal! I highly recommend this museum for anyone who favors antique art. This museum is not like your typical art museum as everything is placed in a way to feel “homey”. We also ate lunch at their restaurant, Café G, and I was extremely impressed with how delicious the food was, in addition to the lovely service! We split calamari and eggplant and beet salad, then finished off the meal with apple pudding for dessert!
Afterwards, we went to the MFA where we saw Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic and Ansel Adams in Our Time. Ansel Adam’s legacy is truly portrayed in this exhibit and will continue until February 24, 2019. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures from this, but his photography is breathtaking, so I definitely recommend checking it out!
On the other hand, personally Disney has always hit home for me so that exhibit was extraordinary in my eyes. Throughout the entire experience, there were drawings with corresponding explanations in which I learned a lot about the making of the characters! This exhibit will be available until January 6th, so click here to get your tickets today!
As for my outfit, I went with a classy look that fit well for a day spent at various museums and exhibits.
